#187 What’s your coaching signature?

 If you would like to understand your preferred coaching posture a little more deeply, and how you can mindfully select them for different client contexts, you might consider undertaking a Coaching Signatures Profile: a metaphor-rich visualisation of your coaching landscape and how it shifts between different clients. And until 31st July, I have a special offer, which could save you £45.

‍ Coaching Signatures Profile

‍ The CSP enables all who use coaching in any role to recognise and understand their preferred coaching signature and how they adapt with clients.
‍ The CSP uses a narrative-based approach that asserts a person’s life can be viewed as an ecological system: the interaction between a person, their environment and the people they engage with in that environment.
Through a metaphor-based visual landscaping exercise, the CSP generates eight different coaching ‘postures’ that offer a coach’s own ‘self’ coaching signature for exploration and how they respond with different clients in different contexts. The results are presented in a comprehensive report that can be explored in a single supervision session with an Accredited Coaching Signatures Supervisor (ACSS). The CSP is invaluable for reflective and reflexive learning and self-monitoring, and thus the development of excellent coaching practice. The CSP offers a unique framework for acquiring greater self-awareness, supporting ongoing personal and professional development, together with extending coaching fluency and range.
Through the supervision process, the CSP enables coaches to learn how their current coaching practice, relational engagement and coaching strategies are impacting themselves and their clients. This enables them to enhance and improve their coaching ability, their standard of practice, and overall performance through:
  • ‍  identification, awareness, and analysis of their unique coaching signature;
  • provision of a framework and shared language to track, evaluate, and develop coaching practice;
  • creation of strategies for developing appropriate coaching interventions;
  • providing a more self-aware, versatile, and ethically mature coach; and
  • development of their ‘internal supervisor’ for self-monitoring and self-supervision.
